Some begin with a story, a legacy, and the desire to ensure remarkable work continues to be seen.

We’ve recently completed a new website for Biddy Noakes, created to celebrate and preserve the artistic life and work of her late husband, sculptor Roy Noakes. Roy Noakes Sculptor website

Roy’s body of work spans decades, and the website has been carefully structured to showcase his sculptures across distinct periods of his creative life, allowing visitors to explore the evolution of his work over time. (Roy Noakes)

Projects like this require a different kind of design thinking.

This wasn’t simply about building a functional website. It was about creating an appropriate digital home — something understated, respectful, and visually led — allowing the artwork itself to take centre stage.

The user experience needed to feel intuitive and effortless, while the design language remained quiet enough to support the work rather than compete with it.

For Biddy, this was deeply personal. For us, it was a genuine privilege.

As designers, some of the most meaningful work we do is helping preserve stories, achievements, and creative legacies for future generations.
