We had already started marketing the 2020 festival. It was planed, as usual, each concert would be performed at various venues around the city of York. Then Covid-19 hit. We went into lock down.
Soon after, the realisation that the festival would not be possible as we expected, we took the festival online.
The 2020 York Chamber Music Festival was to be broadcast online.
All marketing went online, reaching our audience through email broadcasts and social media. We strategically scheduled social media to hit at peak times, with our email broadcast providing instruction to an audience unfamiliar with online streaming. We'd guide them to their online auditorium for an enjoyable online experience.
