The 2008 festival carried the theme Exiled – Music in a Strange Land, exploring ideas of separation, journey, and belonging through early music.
A detail from Caravaggio’s Flight into Egypt was used as the central image, reflecting the theme Exiled through its sense of movement and displacement. It appeared across brochures, posters, and display materials, giving the festival a clear visual identity.
