For the 2023 York Early Music Festival, we were asked to design a visual identity, this time inspired by the theme Smoke & Mirrors. The festival explored the atmosphere of uncertainty in Tudor England. We set out to reflect this through striking design and evocative storytelling across all touchpoints.

As with each year, our work for the York Early Music Festival goes beyond simply branding an event—it’s about building a visual narrative that deepens the audience's experience and aligns with the rich musical storytelling at its heart.



We produced a full suite of materials, from printed brochures, banners and signage to online graphics, web visuals and social media assets.

In addition to the main brochure, we produced a range of printed literature including posters, flyers, signage, and event-specific handouts, ensuring brand consistency at every audience touchpoint. Each item was designed to be informative, accessible, and aligned with the festival’s prestigious identity.

Lamppost Banners displayed across York help raise visibility and offering high-impact, round-the-clock promotion in key city locations. A cost-effective way to reach both locals and visitors.

Roller banners are a flexible and effective way to promote events — portable, easy to set up, and ideal for on-the-go branding.
